Linking Road is a very fascinating street in mumbai city. Its starts from Bandra and extends upto to Khar. You could spend an entire day walking down Linking Road experiencing street side shopping where two cultures get along very well. You would get to see road side vendors selling cloths, footwear & other fashion accessories alongside Branded Stores & Malls on Linking Road. This is the most exciting part of Linking Road. You could find everything from International brands, to clever fakes , to cheap Chinese goods here. There is a mix of Departmental Stores, Brand Outlets, Street-Side carts and regular shops that sell mainly Clothes, Footwear and Fashion Accessories. You can also find many restaurants and cafes dotted along the miles long stretch of the Linking Road.
The Linking Road starts from the 5-way cross-roads near the Hindustan Petroleum Petrol Pump, the roads being S.V. Road, Bandra Station Road, Perry Cross Road and Linking Road.
If you continue north along Linking Road you will pass by some exclusive branded stores selling premium Fashion accessories likes clothes and watches. Shortly you will also see the famous Shoppers Stop, its a small Departmental Store selling almost everything.
As you walk down further it only gets exciting as you see to your left street side vendors with small make shift shops that only sell women footwear, be prepared to bargain and get yourself a nice pair of slippers.
You could also take de route and walk down Waterfield road , you have choice of Restaurants & Bars like the Zenzi, Red Box & Seijo. If you like Chinese Cuisine, you could also drop by the China Gate that serves delicious Chinese cuisine. Further down Waterfield road you would find a good collection of impressive Jewellery Showrooms. From here you could also walk down straight to Hill Road, which is another street with a similar experience.
Just Before Mc Donalds & KFC, a road on your left will take you into an exciting by lane that developed very recently and now has three departmental stores with exciting shops selling almost everything . The Mega Electronic Store “ Kroma ” is also located in this area.
Linking road extends further Khar and it only gets exciting as you walk down this street. |
